REFORESTATION
We are a tree planting and reforestation company that provides on-the-ground reforestation services. We produce tangible reforestation results for forest managers, private land owners and companies committed to environmental sustainability. Our primary business operations take place in Ontario, Canada.

OUR FOUNDER
MATT MCKERNAN
For the past 15 years, Matt has worked on reforestation operations throughout Canada, and trained and mentored thousands of tree planters, crew bosses and quality assessors. He has developed meaningful relationships with many foresters across Canada and has a diverse understanding of ground conditions, logistics, tree care, people management, microsite variation, soil conditions and production considerations. Over the past 15 years, Matt has managed over 200 million trees get planted, trained over 2000 tree planters and continues to provide mentorship to reforestation projects globally.

Our focus starts with creating the conditions necessary for our workers and community members to thrive. For us, the means ensuring that our tree planters are well paid and provided with safe and reliable equipment to do their job. We prioritize health and safety in all our operations and educate our entire staff on the laws and regulations in the jurisdictions that we operate in. In addition, we focus on identifying potential hazards and we implement a rigorous health and safety regime that properly instructs our staff how to operate safely. By creating the necessary systems and framework for our employees to thrive we have made our model of operating scalable for other planting organizations to adopt. We encourage collaboration and co-creation with all organizations that share our values and who want to help get more trees in the ground.
