Meet our partner, Tofino Soap Company.
Over 13 years ago, Angela L’Heureux started Tofino Soap Company with a few handmade soaps and ingredients sourced from her garden. Since then, Tofino Soap Company has grown to offer a curated collection of thoughtful bath, body, and home goods. Their products are crafted with love and attention to detail, inspired by Tofino, Ucluelet, and Vancouver Island’s lush temperate rainforest and breathtaking coastal landscapes. With a strong belief in nature and its ability to heal and nourish us, their formulas are filled with unique botanical oils, extracts, and foliage to boost vitality, soothe skin, and rejuvenate the senses. The ingredients used are natural, organic, and intentional; chosen with careful consideration of their benefits and the way in which they are harvested.
Here at Integrity Reforestation, we seek out companies to partner with whose goals go beyond sales and profits and who strive to use their companies as a force for good. Our ideal partner ensures that their products bring a net benefit to the world we live in, and that is why Tofino Soap Company is a perfect fit.
When we asked our partner why this type of a partnership was important to them, here is what they said: “Sustainability is at our core, and we take great care to ensure that every aspect of our operation is as conscious as possible. From sourcing our ingredients locally – often from our own garden & forest – to exclusively using recyclable, plantable, biodegradable, and compostable packaging, we are committed to minimizing our environmental impact.
When the opportunity arose to work with Integrity Reforestation toward their goal of planting 5 million trees, it felt like an instant fit. Partnering with brands that believe in conscious living and embody our values of sustainability is an absolute joy.”
Over the next year, we will be planting one tree for every The Woods candle sold by Tofino Soap Company.
The Woods candle features an earthy, purifying aroma reminiscent of a walk in the forest. It is created with a clean-burning blend of coconut and soy wax and a curated combination of cedar wood, balsam fir, vetiver, spruce, and sage essential oils. Each clay vessel is hand-crafted with care by local artist Karla Strickland.
